PURPOSE:
To effectively manage a team of external Mortgage Advisors to ensure the successful completion of Mortgages and Remortgages, providing a prompt, efficient, professional service at all times, ensuring team targets and Company objectives are met
KEY RESULT AREAS
• Adopt and apply sound people management practices. • Identify training needs and implement training. • Ensure effective individual and team development through manpower planning, coaching and training liaising with the Operations Manager*Human Resource Officer when necessary. • Conduct regular 1:1`s and quarterly appraisal`s for all team members. • To manage the performance of the team, identify, solve and monitor problems as and when they occur. • To handle conduct issues and hold disciplinary hearings liaising with the HR Officer when necessary. • Ensure that company administrative, legal and regulatory obligations are carried out accurately and efficiently. • Foster quality 2 way communication practices with other managers, team leaders, staff, lenders and customers. Communicate on a regular basis relevant company and lender information to ensure all parties are fully briefed as soon as possible. • Ensure the best quote has been sort in relation to the customer`s circumstances, maximising the potential of all deals e.g. cancellations, down and up selling always within the customer`s best interests. • Conduct random controls and checks on all team members` duties and responsibilities to ensure compliance. • Monitor, review and report on performance against key measures at team meetings. • To accurately complete weekly projection figures and submit to the Operations Manager within specified timescales. • Ensure all aspects of compliance with Health & Safety legislation. SKILLS + EXPERIENCE
• Flexible approach to work • Previous supervisory experience desirable • Reliable and trustworthy • Keyboard skills and experience of windows • Team player • Use own initiative • Ability to work under pressure • Financial background essential • FISA Foundation paper desirable • Customer service experience essential • Attention to detail • Ability to influence, persuade and inspire others • Ability to organise own time and prioritise workload is essential • Excellent communicator • FSA Advanced Level
